OMG-gas, fact or fiction?

My puggle though only 25 lbs has gas enoguh to clear a room. He lays down relaxes and it all comes out. P.U. and this is better than when he first got here since I have put him on better food and got him off the pound food. He is on Canidae and is my only one like this.

My question is:
Someone posted something on another thread somewhere that the squashed nose breeds tend to have worse gas. Is there any truth in this??
Maybe due to the squashed nose, air cannot escape as easily and builds up inside until it finally releases

Thats just it though. He can have only kibble one day, kibble and table leftovers a different day, or kibble and canned, it doesn't matter it all smells the same and doesn't change in frequency.

My Boxer could clear out a room in no time!!! It was horrendous at times.
I'm really not sure if it was because of the shape of the muzzle, though.

bernice toots like an old man! you can hear it and most def. smell it. I have switched foods, and that helps a bit....but not much.

so i don't know if the rumor about smooshed nosed dogs being true, but bernice is not a smooshed nose dog and can toot with the best of them! lol

My dog is NOT a smooshed nose breed. LOL, as a matter of fact, she's got one of the longest noses. Her and Borzoi's. And THAT dog can CLEAR a room. I've never known a dog with gas like hers and changing foods does NOT help a bit.

My girl's could peel paint when they go at it. The Min. Schnauzers so far have been gas free...crossing fingers
