Post help!

hi eveyone
my girlfriend and i have a 2 year old german shepard and she has been acting rather strangely of late, can anyone possibly help determine what the problem is

she is off her food
continuously pines
wanders around all day with a soft toy in her mouth and has begun hiding it in the house
has taken to laying in corners as if hiding
and now starting sleepin in the spare room rather than in the room with us as has been the norm
also paces up and down alot whilst pining

any help would be greatly appreciated

many thanks

My first thoughts...she is either pregnant or going through a phantom.
Has she been Spayed?
If not has she just had a heat cycle in the past 4-5 weeks.

You will have to keep an eye on her, my Ellie just went through a phantom on her last cycle. You can go back in the archives if you like, read the posts. There was a lot of info on Phantoms.
The symptoms you describe are exactly what Ellie did. I will look up the heading of the thread for you, then come back and edit it into this one. Please don't bring back up the whole thread though. Just read through for your reference.

Go up the top of your screen, click on Search, then type in this, Pseudo or Phantom pregnancy help. The forum will automaticaly bring it up for you. If you want to know more, you can just type in search, Pseudo or Phantom pregnancy and it will bring up all the posts containing those words.
If you look for those originally started by Ellierat. You won't have a heap of reading on stuff to find actual facts posted.

My thought with Ellie...sounds like it could be a phantom.
