Smile Charlie is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE!

Yes, I realize that I cyber-shouted in the title, but I don't care! Please, please, if any of you are not using heart worm preventative year-round, consider this, for what it cost to have Charlie treated for heartworms, the stupid people that abandoned him could have bought 5 YEARS of heartworm prevention. I agree with Buddy's mom on her thread about not having another option-how could anyone just throw away such a great dog-or any dog for that matter. I bet Pippy's and Charlie's past owners wouldn't even recognize them now-and that's good, 'cause they're not going anywhere!

I fully agree to let dogs go and not be checked for these deadly worms is pure neglect. Good for you to take such wonderful care and now look at them as you stated. Wonderful news. All should read your post in case they do not use prevention for Heart Worms.

Yes, but they will have to wait until later today or tomorrow-he is getting neutered and chipped today.
