Ramone to go to his new foster home tonight

Well, this is it. We're saying our good bye's right now. I can't believe this is it. It's good, because this guy is a chi person and does chi rescue all the time. But, I am going to miss my Ramone so much.

Ramone will be ok, you've given him a good start and sounds like you have a good foster. It is best that he goes to a person familiar with Chi's and their quirks! Kudos to you kiddo, I'm sure this is going to have a fabulous ending! Little Ramone will be in his forever home before long!

I know how hard it is, but he will be a happy guy. He deserves that, and you did your part for him.

That was harder than I thought, if you can imagine. I knew he would be scared, but it was horrible. I put his bed in the guys truck and then I put Ramone in the bed. At first, he thought he was just sitting in his bed. He loves his bed, it's like his security blanket. I wouldn't have let the guy take him without it. Then, he looked back and saw the guy in the drivers seat and started panicking. He was scratching back at me and trying to get me to pick him up. I had to close the door while he sat there terrified and walk away. I sat in my car and cried my eyes out for a good 10 minutes before I could finally muster up the courage to drive home. That was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I love that little guy. With everything in me.

To bad the guy didn't bring a crate. Can you call him and make sure they made it ok into the house? I know this was rough on you but Ramone will get used to the new foster soon.

Oh Roxy, you know you did the best thing for Ramone. He is a special little boy who will remain in your heart. Are you going to get updates on how he is doing? I wish him all the best for his new journey in his new life.

Oh Rox, I know that must have been horrible for you. I've rehomed pets before and cried for days after. It really helps a lot if you can stay in touch with the new owner for a few weeks so you know how he's doing and can give pointers on any issues that might come up. At least this always helped me. In a few weeks, he'll be bonded with his forever owner. Go ahead and cry, it's o.k. to be sad.

RC, trust me, they are not all this hard. Starsky and Chopper have been the hardest for me.
One day you will have one who takes right to the person, and hardly looks back at you to say thanks. Those are the great ones, for me it was Colt, and Kiley.

Try to stay in touch for some updates, it will make it a little easier.

He is going to the right place and you simply made his journey a little brighter. Stay in touch but you did your part.
