Yes, the breeds CAN get along..

With all this talk about war, I thought I'd stick this in. Tonight Dad, Rosie and I went to Petsmart to get a brand new dog tag with my phone number AND address. There was a puppy class going on, and to my amazement, there was about every breed of dog that people here own. There was a Springer, a pit bull, a rat terrier, a Dachshund, a Shetland Sheepdog/Collie (sorry, I couldn't tell), a beagle, a couple of mutts, and a few small breed dogs that I couldn't name. And there was a HUGE great dane puppy that looked like an adult around the smaller dogs. No labs, I'm surprised to say. Maybe that does tell you something. Seriously, I thought that this was worth posting.. Kind of ironic, don't you think?

No doubt that the dogs get along... but everybody needs bragging rights, right? ESPECIALLY the neurotic owners. Heh, heh, heh.

Hey, Tucker might break the mold. He may be expelled from Puppy Class, the naughty. I can't wait to see how he does actually. He really is smart but head strong (HELP!).
Ellie, I'm agreeing with you. Nice folks here (dog lovers all).

SouthPaw - Sounds like Kirby. He always knows exactly what I want, catches on to everything I teach... But boy, if he doesn't want to listen, He REALLY doesn't want to listen.

He'd wander off and the the instructor would say "Call his name earlier off of the second jump" So I do it again, and he's still walking away... and she says "Wow, he really doesn't feel like listening"

Meka is extremely head strong. I will tell her to sit, and she will just stand and glare at you. Its like she is saying NO, I dont want to. So I tell her sit again, and the same glare. Shes awful, but getting better.

Gemini will do this. I think it started in her teenage rebellion stage. She'd look at me like "Make me" then she got really mad when I did make her. It's funny when she does it when I have food though. You can almost see her thinking "I don't want to but I do want the food . . . what should I do? Fine I'll obey just give me the stinkin treat!!" She's actually my brother's dog but I'm the only one she'll really listen to because no one else will make her obey.
