Angry I Got Rooked

I got rooked the ppl I got Gotti from promised me that they would send me the papers and now they are no where to be contacted I really dont care about the papers it is the point that they LIED what is wrong with people I got him on the petfinders web site i could just scream if I knew who to report them to I would do it. I love my Gotti and am not willing to give him back I just think this should be stopped before they have the chance to do it again.

It's not Petfinder that handles the dogs or adoptions. Petfinder is just a place that rescues and shelters can show off the dogs and hopefully get more adopted out. It's like a registry.

Sorry you didn't get whatever papers you were waiting for. But, there are more important things to worry about and at least you have your pup.

I am fully aware that pet finder does not sponsor these animals, I know how the system works. And as i stated in the original posting that I am just gald that I have him and i would NOT give him back over the issue. It just makes me angry that people will use a rescue center for animals to lie. I would have gotten him papers or not I just wish they had been honest with me. This is not the only thing I was lied to about from these people, they said that he was in good health and we have spent over 300.00 dollars on him just tryin to get him healthy his butt was stained yellow from being left in his own urine I think have the right to be a little upset..... because there are people out there who are not dedicated to animal rescue and may just be looking for a pet that so happens to be a rescue, if this happened to those type of people believe that they would never look for a rescue animal again. Bruno was a rescue and that is how I got involved and now we have our sweet Gotti but if Gotti had been our first expierience with recue dogs I gaurentee I would never have done it again. But because I know that wonderful companions come out of bad situations I will never stop supporting this mis-understood breed!

is there a reason you can't make a complaint with the local police department / animal control? i don't mean about his papers (do you mean AKC?) but i mean for the conditions he was living in.

you could get the shelter checked out to make sure that they are treating the animals properly.

also, you can report them to the better business bureau and any shelter groups they belong to.

I don't know how long you've waited but my sister finally got her pups papers after a number of email & phone calls. They were supposed to accompany the pup but instead she got them after relentless badgering. If you can't even find them, I suppose that's not an option. ps.. hers was very sick as well but she's doing better than great now! Hope this works out for you.
