February is Pet Dental Month

Quote:
Bad breath in a dog is often dismissed simply as "doggy breath." In fact, it may signal periodontal disease, which is the most common ailment suffered by dogs and cats over 3 years old. Preventing periodontal disease can result in longer, healthier lives for pets

To educate owners of this, February has been designated National Pet Dental Month by the American Veterinary Medical Society, the American Veterinary Dental Society and Hill's Pet Nutrition.
Read the article here.

And if it asks to register to read it just click close on the pop up. I don't know why it says that since it lets you read it anyway.

I took Blaze to the vet for a check up and shots about a month ago. the vet was so impressed with his teeth. She said He has one of the cleanist looking dog mouths she has seen in a longgg time. She said they looked like a 1 or 2 year olds teeth for the whitness and no tarter on them, he is almost 4 so I was happy that i have done good by him for his teeth.

Thanks SWC Our vet sent out informative postcards! I always get compliments on the pearlies here, but after seeing my brothers schnauzie suffer I vowed to be on top of the teeth here! Maybe I should go get Greenies to celebrate, they haven't had them in a bit. I give them dental chews, raw bones (or smoked) and greenies. I try to rotate but thinking about it... it's time for greenies!
We have no bad breathe here, although Jorge burps alot!

how convenient i just got my new teeth scrapers today. my vet has also told me that my cat and 4 dogs have the cleanest teeth and he's never had to clean them yet. there ages are 1, 5, 5, 6 and 8. it always feels good when someone you look up to and respect tells you that your doing a very good job.
