Why do you think Heart Worm??

Could be simple as round worms. I suggest taking a fecal to the vet.

I'd follow the above advise. I don't think you can pass Heartworms through your GI tract.
If you can't get a fresh sample to take in take in some of what you had to clean up this morning.
Let us know what kind the vet says they are.

it's alot cheaper to pay for basic vet care for your dog up front. you should learn about heartworm pills and regular vet check ups so you don't have to have these moments of panic.

it's also the way to be a responsible pet owner. posting a message on a board asking us if your dog is "beyond repair" won't get you very far - take the dog to a vet who is actually qualified to make those sorts of judgements.

If it came out,I don't think it's heartworm but just worms.Take him to the vet and have him checked.Take the test and put him,on medication. In the long run,it will be less expensive.

Personally I would keep them separated. Where there are worms there are likely eggs/larvae that your daughter could accidently ingest.

yes keep them separated and you need to bleach the floor where the dog left the deposit...they can be tranferred to people.

most vets will let you set up a payment plan, so the no money excuse won't fly with me. keeping the dog from getting treatment at the vet is abuse. if you can't afford the dog, and afford to give it basic medical treatment, you need to think about rehoming it to someone who can.
