Why is dog not losing weight?
My grandmother has a little chihuahua who is, well, quite a porker. She's 15 pounds and looks something between pudgy and fat. She eats weight-control food (max of 1/2-cup per day), but doesn't exercise much due to arthritis in her legs. She does take glucosamine to help with joints/legs, but still tires easily. Any thoughts what might be causing her weight to stay at current number? She gets no table food at all.

I would take the dog to the vet and have his tyroid check right away.
Weight usually show a tyroid problem.

Yep have thyroid checked I agree with what golden has stated.
