Question Swollen Eye

Koni's eye is swollen, pinkish with a lot of clear watery discharge? All I can think of was he possibly got biten by a bug, especially with the nice weather we've been having. Anything I can do for him or need to know? It may seem like nothing, but it has me worried.

I have a similar problem with Dumpher when it gets nice out. I have an eye ointment for her now, but when it first occured, I gave her Benadryl. Don't know if that's what you should do, it could be something totally unrelated to an allergy.

Watch it for tonight and if it isn't improved by tomorrow go to the vet. I have pugs and with their big eyes we have had alot of scratches and even had to have one eye removed on a friends pup. don't fool around sometimes the tiniest scratch can cause big problems

IMO any eye abnormalties should be seen by a vet, just to make sure. It could be nothing, but then it could be a scratch on the cornea, an imbedded object under the third eyelid or something else.

I would take your dog to the vet. If he scratched it our something it could lead to permanent damage. It should really be looked at.

There is no change, Koni is going to the Vet in 2 hours. This is horrible, I am at work so my boyfriend is taking Koni and on top of that it is Koni's 3rd birthday. Poor guy.
