Thank you for posting this...I always thought bone marrow was actually a healthy thing for a dog to consme. Most of the stuff I was familiar with but always thought that butcher bones were pretty safe.

I think they're very wrong about bones.

Cooked bones are dangerous and should never be fed, yes. But they reccomend instead weight-bearing sterilized bones, which can and will splinter and can puncture the intestines or esophagus, just like cooked bones.

The safest recreational bones are raw knuckle bones- They won't splinter and the dog can't chew off big chunks. And marrow IS healthy for the dogs... Yes some dogs can get a bit of loose stool if they're not used to raw bones, but the marrow has quite a few vitamins and minerals in it.
