Unhappy sadie will not put ay pressure on her foot....help me!

Hey everyone. My young female lab will not put any pressure on her foot. I was gone for like 2 hours and when I came home she is pretty much falling over?

I cannot see any open wounds, there is no swelling? She is delicate to the stroke of her leg and foot. She cannot sit, she can walk a little but mostly she is laying down...

She is eating and drinking? She looks like she is in pain though?

I am really confused on whats worng with her? I seriusly have no ideA? she was outside though!?!?

What should I do? The vets closed... and I dont no how to decrease the pain...

HELP ME

thnx everyone who helps...
Katie

Does it seem broken? If she looks to be in pain, I would try to find an emergency vet that may be open.

Give it at couple of hours. I had a german shepherd who was playing with my husband and he rolled on her.

She cried like he hurt her and limped for about an hour. We drove all the way to the ER vet positive that her leg was broken.

She ran out of the vet's office like nothing was ever wrong. It could be a simple pull or sprain.

If she continues to limp on it after a few hours or refuses to put any weight on it, I would call your vet or an ER vet.

Do you have any Bufferin, it is a form of Asprin that is recommended for pain for dogs, dose depending on her weight an average size lab can have a full tablet

Someone on here told me that for leg limps, pain ect... wait 24 hours before going to the vet. Usually these clear up on their own. I think that if there is no swelling or defininte problem I would just wait it out. She might of just hurt it running around.

Sounds like sound advice. My Dakota started limping around and favoring hs right hind. I could see nothig wrong and decided to give it a couple days. Sure enough, he was walking normally within that time frame.

Good luck,
EG
