Curious about Genetics

I have been researching canine genetics for a little bit, and I am looking to find more information on them...mostly in the form of books and articles (I am an animal science major with an emphasis in horses (they dont offer a companion animal emphasis, just a class ) and am doing self study on canines for future reference (I am an aspiring breeder and trainer)). I am a shepherd person (BBS to be exact) and I started doing research on coat inheritance and am trying to find more information (once I get done with coat inheritance I am going to work my way in on more genetics topics). So far I have found a few books, but everything seems somehwat variant, like in Willis's The German Shepherd Dog: a Genetic History they dont mention the white gene and in Ruvinski's and Sampson's book The Genetics of the Dog they do. I was wondering if ya'll have any suggestions for Coat color and type books and articles I could delve into...anything total dog or German Shepherd would be awsome.

I have a basic working knowledge at this point, but I would loooooove to find a recent book on GSD genetics...Willis's is awsome, and so far my favorite, but I think it might be somewhat out-dated (in addition to the above two I also found Carver's Coat color genetics of the german shepherd dog)

oh....I am not asking for information on white shepherds...I am looking for books that are on Canine Genetics, preferable coat genetics and are recent...I am sorry if that was confusing...I am trying to teach myself about canine genetics in general...I want to start with the basics because they're easier to learn at first, ergo coat color and type...I am doing the research partially because I like them, but I want to know about canine genetics in general. Thanks, and again, sorry if there was confusion.
