when to vaciante

im wondering is it best to do it at 6 or 8 eeks for the first round of the 7 in in one shot that i will be doing my self and since they will be in back yard full time next week what are the chance of them getting sick from parvo or distemper?

It appears you have larger dogs. Six weeks would be best. Smaller dogs should only be given 5 way shots because they can have a reaction to the Lepto. It also depends on the area and your back yard. Have you ever had anyone come down with Parvo...ect. If so it is in your ground and you would risk exposure to the pups. I have known people who's dog only had their first shots and come spring, when the ground thawed, contracted parvo. It would be best to speak to your vet for his recommendation. He would know what diseases are prone to your area and what vaccines would work best for you but don't delay for your pups safety.

All the pups,I've had, were usually vaccinated around 8 weeks old,for the 1st set and around 12 weeks, for the second set.Always had the rabbies shot done by 3mths but I beleive that more and more vet are waiting for them to be 4 mths.
