Question finding groomers

Hi.
I noticed that groomers don't advertise for help in the local papers. Can anyone tell me how they go about finding groomers? And what do they do if they're new in the industry and have no contacts with other groomers but are looking to hire one or two? Are classifieds the only way to go?

Internet, phone books, and word of mouth. When I needed a groomer, I basically just asked people with well-groomed dogs who they went to, and if they were happy with the job they did. Worked for me...

You can go to dog shows and hang around. Talk to breeders, handlers etc.

If you want to be a groomer - this is a great place to start.

Talking the answer . . . Petgroomer.com

I just completed my year and a half grooming course and was certified the week before Christmas. I found my grooming academy on the internet. Petgroomer.com has a whole bank of pet groomers listed by state, so that you can perform a search. They also have classifieds and want adds. There are millions of schools, groomers and jobs available out there.
