Blind and Deaf Chihuahua in Need

So far this dog has no name. It came in as a "lost dog". So far zero signs of owners coming to reclaim the poor old man.

He is very old. Both blind and deaf, but he can still see very very faint shadows. Any dog that is both blind and deaf has more of a chance to become fearful and bite, but I saw absolutely zero signs in aggression. I could pick him up, touch his feet, head, ears, legs, tail. He is skinny and weak teeth. He cannot eat dry food.

This old man would make a good companion for an older couple or single man or woman that has plenty of time to give special care and attention to him.

That is a sweet old dog. Hopefully his owners are still looking for him and will find him OR a new forever home where he can end his days is fine.

I've sent out an email to a Chi rescue. I'm hoping they think this old man is worth a chance. If not, if it comes down to euthanasia, I've got a wonderful trainer in Canada that would take him so long as we could get him shipped up there.

maybe the owner has passed away or something and the dog just wandered off or something, how very sad.

I just know that it is sadand hope that the owners didn't pass away because the little dog needs then as much as they need him

Oh what a sweet little guy, I hope he gets a good forever home or that his owners come to get him.

I wish I could take him. I love Chihuahua's...and he deserves a good home. Poor thing.
