Hoping to Rescue a Beagle

Well, I think we will finally have a new addition over the weekend. We have been looking to adopt a rescue dog for the past few months, you may remember my dilema trying to bring home a deaf male Rottweiler that my usually sweet, very mello Rottweiler would not accept. Then there was the very active misbehaving puppy with the deformed foot. Perhaps the others did not work out to leave the door open for Buddy the Beagle. We spotted him at a local pet event a few weeks ago and have been in touch with the rescue organization that has him. We lost our 16 year old Beagle back in November and our dog Mel was very sad...he is now basking in the glory of being a very spoiled only dog (he is 9 yrs old). Buddy is 3, not quite a puppy, so they should get along well. His family discarded him when he began to act up due to the fact that they started to ignore him once they had a new baby in the house. Apparantly, the wife turned him in because her husband started to mistreat Buddy. We have lots of love to give, it would be a shame not to share our home and hearts with a dog in need. Let's hope Mel feels that way too!

Probably at the dog park, that is Mel's favorite place.

You may want to try somewhere that is not familiar territory for either dog to avoid territory disputes. it couldn't hurt?

bernice was unsure of tank when we brought him home, but I took them both for long walks together and that seemed to help them become buddies.

you might want to get rid of the link in your post - you've got tons of personal information in there.

and, good luck

I clicked on the link to see the Beagle and I got your adoption application and I assume that is your address and phone number and everything on there. You might want to delete that especially with it being on a public forum.

Perhaps the 3rd time is a charm??? I certainly hope so! . I would also like to extend my thanks to you for looking at rescues. Best of luck with the kids getting along and then with your adoption!
