New rescue on the way!

There is a new rescue on the way to Dobermoms house.

She is a 3-4 month old black lab mix, that has recently been hit by a car. Her condition is stable. She has some neurological issues that we hope will get better. There is a good chance she is deaf, but she seems to see.

After spending 5 hours with a Boxer transport I just got ready to make dinner and I got an emergency call to go out and look at this poor girl. I guess its been a dog day.

A woman saw her get hit by the car and brought her to the ER vet where another volunteer is a tech. The woman was able to help with her medical care. She had 500.00 to put towards it. Since the dog is stable she needs to move on, because the 500 is already used. The woman is unable to keep the puppy, she already has 2 labs of her own.

I will be picking up the little girl around noon, and meeting with the wonderful lady who helped save her.

Please wish me some luck. I am just hopong she wont take a negative turn.

You've mentioned something wonderful in this post. That the lady sought medical attention and then donated that much money to help out!! That's so kind and generous and wonderful of her!!!
I really, really hope she's going to be ok and nothing bad neurolocally is going on! I'll send lots of doggie wishes her way from me & my gang for a healthy & speedy recovery.

Irocilly, I'm taking in a Pure Lab foster tomorrow that was also hit by a car! He's a HUGE 11 month old male (over 100 lbs already). He had his surgery and lucky for him it was just his leg. I guess it was really bad though. We are looking at 2K for this guy and he was run over by his owner who brought him to the vet to have him pts!!!! Vet said no & called us to see if any fosters could and would be able to take him in for at least 6 weeks. Tag.. I'm it! Sorry I got away from your new kid.... What's up with these labs trying to play with autos lately???? (that's a no-no)

I am so glad you are there to help her in her time of need. I LOVE the special needs dogs! I have been looking for a deaf dog to save for quite some time. I have deaf children, a dog with a neurological disorder, and a 3 legged cat.

Thanks everyone. I got her area all set up this morning. I have an XPEN connected to her crate. In the XPEN area I have a trap down to save my carpet from accidents. She will be using potty pads (I know I ahte them too), but she will need to potty more then I am at home.
Her crate is a 42 inch, and the XPEN gives her about a 4x3 area to play in.

I think thats plenty of room for an 15 pound puppy.

My gang is wondering whats going on.
