Dog Booties

I went to Petectera and bought a pair of booties for Ariel. These were nylon (water proof) with velco.

The good news is Ariel didn't mind them. She didn't chew them. And besides walking a little funny for a few minutes adjusted well.

The problem is the booties the seams split within a few minutes on (Less then 10 anyway). So should I make my own out of leather? She seems to need footwear but what to get and how much to spend.

Any ideas or advice?

I recon after you little mishap with her yesterday, I would pay out the money and get something durable now, that will last a long time. Especially if you walk everyday with them. Well worth the money in the end. i know it's chrissy time and things can be tight. Go with what you have at the moment, when they are haddit, get something better.

vBailey's booties are soft felt inside and rubberish stuff outside. The brand is Pawtectors. I think they only cost us like $5. Of course, they were in the clearance section at True Value. The only set in sight, and they happen to fit her. Yay! They sell them at PetSmart too.
Bailey's are black.

You might also try getting one size larger. The site I went to said to measure across the paw while the dog is standing and choose the size accordingly. They list inches with sizes.

These were the only ones at Petcetera. We have to go to the Extra Large size. I'm thinking fleece lined leather or suede or rubberized material. Now I just have to find them.

They are tender and we didn't go for our evening walk because it's too darn cold. The dog's are showing they aren't climatized yet. When I ask Ariel for her sore paw, she grumbles at me as if to say "you be careful now - they hurt" Too cute.

You should have seen the duck walk when all the booties where on. Hubby thinks I should knit a pair of booties. I explained by that wouldn't work

LOL. LOL. I could just imagine her with boots on, too funny.
You have snow, I have heat, lets swap a bit of each then we'll have a nice day between us.

I imagine her paw would be like Soph's was after her long walk. It took a couple of days but settled after that. Hope Ariels does soon too.
Give her more hugs for me please.
