How much Pumpkin?

I've heard Pumpkin suggested for diarrhea right? or was it constipation? How much do you give? I gave kota some plain rice and it upset her tummy. Pepto isn't working.

What else can I give her besides Pepto??

It can be used for both if for diarrhea I would only give a couple TBLs

Ok Thanks Tiff. I've got to go pick some up when Hubby comes home for lunch.

It seems to help all around digestive issues. I gave 2 tablespoons to my 4month ~35lb puppy because she's had various stomach problems for the past week since I picked her up. The next day she didn't throw up, didn't have gas, and her stools were less runny. After the first 2 days though she has decided she won't eat it even when mixed with dog food.

OK I gave her two tablespoons at noon. When should I repeat it? Btw she is NOT happy about it.
Sierra however liked to eat it right out of the can.

2 tablespoons kept Azami's stomach settled for at least 24hours. She was right there helping me open the can and licking it before gobbling all I gave her. The next day she ate it but with less enthusiasm and today she decided she won't touch it. If I mix it with her dog food she won't eat any of that either. It lost it's appeal very quickly. She last had it yesterday morning and is still bouncing around this afternoon without stopping to whine about her stomach or having to go outside frequently so I would say feeding it every 24-36hours seems good enough. I may have to find more inventive ways to get it down her if her stomach doesn't stay settled this time.

You can't overdose on pumpkin. A lot of people sub in pumpkin for portions of meals as a full diet for dogs.

it is a water soluble fiber. if the stool is too dry the pumpkin will absorb water into the stool from the bowel and soften the stool, if the stool is too soft it wil absorb the water fromn the stool and make it firmer cool huh?
