Neutering gone bad???

I havent contacted the vet yet, but will tomorrow. Yesterday afternoon we took our IG males in to be neutered. The one is a year old (from our first puppy litter, the otehr is 3 y/o our blue sire to both litters of pups).

Anyhow the younger dog is doing fine, but our older dog he is very sore and bruised up and down both sides of his sheath. He crys when he has to urinate, I am not sure if this would be normal for a male that has been breeding or not. What do you guys think?

I would take the dog back to the vet as soon as you can. I would rather be safe than sorry.

How long has it been? At the very least phone the vet. They might be able to suggest cold compress and some pain killer.

the whining thing is what would worry me, when Rusty was Neutered he had VERY heavy bruising(his entire sheath and both sides) and the vets were a little worried about that, showed it to us while we were there, and told us if it got any worse, bring him back, but he did NOT whine when he urinated, so yes, I would give you vet a call, see when they think.

Update:

Turbo is fine, no temp or anything. Doc gave him some antibiotics and pain meds. He has some light hemmoraging under the skin (the bruising I thought)
Since the shot of pain meds he is doing great he is at least moving about other then being totally annoyed by his no-lick collar, lol. doc said if he gets worse to call him but he should be fine now. Thanks everyone!!
