Puppy Deworming

Hi All

I took Momma Emma into the vet today for the removal of her sutures and asked about deworming Maddie (2 weeks old today ).

She gave me Panacur to administer to Emma so as to deworm Maddie through the milk. One link I found said that it needed to be repeated...it's a 3 day application thingy. I've been scouring the net looking at many puppy care sites and, needless-to-say, there are many contradictions.

What do you all do to deworm your newborns? Should I ask my vet about a repeat treatment?

Here are some of the links that I found:
Hookworms

Deworming Puppy Dog Vaccinations. How to Deworm a Puppy

Doctors Foster & Smith Deworming Guidelines for Dogs & Puppies

Thanks, EG

Thanks BratB...At first they suggested Strongid T then thought Panacur would be the way to go for now. I'll go back in a couple of weeks and kepp her up on her regime.

Our breeder used Panacur and so did the vets when we took her home. They did it at 2, 4 & 6 weeks and then we did it at 8 weeks. With the Panacur you have to give it for 3 days in a row.
