Trouble for Maia

I know all of you probably have been through this, but I just got told that Maia has roundworms. I knew that something was wrong because she's on the Innova food, but was having really loose poops (Yech!) The vet gave me some pills I gave her and then she has to have them again in 3 weeks and then he'll check her. I was wondering how long it takes the pups stomach to feel better. I have to stand right by her in the yard when she does her business, cause if not, she will turn around and make a meal of it (gross). So cleaning it off the grass and stuff is not very enjoyable for me! I cant wait till all I have to do is scoop it up.Anyway, thanks! Kathy and Maia

Now I'm going to get even more gross. (Sorry everyone)....but do you see round worms in poop? Uma's poop has always been mushy and stinks like a real gagger. She had a fecal test done about a month ago and everything was fine, she is also dewormed twice a year. I even incorporated rice in with her food and it's no longer a cow paddy but still mushy. My next step is to incorporate a little pumpkin in her food.

Actually, I did see one the day I took her sample in-that was totally gross! How long does it take for the medicine to start working? I hope not too long between her poops and tooting, the look and smell is grossing me out big time. Hopefully we won't go through this again! Kathy and Maia

I realy don't know the time frame but it's great they you are having her treated now. My Emma is on a course of Panacur (for Maddie,,the pup) and so far, so good. They really are pretty yucky!

Absolutely,Fairlight! So far, she's still just leaving plops for me to scoop up. I[m hoping one day soon, I'll be shocked and see a normal, solid poop! Oh, well! Kathy and Maia
