Gravel.
Umm I was just wondering if I could just give my dog one gravel to put her to sleep while we go on the road for a couple hours.
Zena doesnt like car rides at all she always wines and a couple times she has puked up water and had dry heaves. I figured she might feel motion sick or something, so I was wondering if it possible to give her one gravel to put her to sleep while we go on the road for a coulpe hours. But im not too sure if thats okay to give to my dog. If anyone knows if its alright or not could you pleasse let me? |

I hape you mean Gravol. lol. I wouldn't feed your dog gravel.
![]() Gravol doesn't put you to sleep, it's for anti-neusea... If you have the childrens formula, it is safe for you ti try to off-set car sickness. You may want to try ginger-ale instead, same effect. Depending on the size of your dog, you'll want to whisk the bubbliness out and give up to 1/2 a can. Neither will put the dog to sleep. |

I would not give her something not prescribed by the vet if this is an issue why not get a tranq through your vetrinary clinic? BTW what is a gravel? I was almost afraid to ask lol

Gravel is little rocks that you put in your garden or over a sports field.
GRAVOL is an over the counter anti-nausea/motion-sickness medication. I prefer to give dogs the latter. LOL |

Moo for once YOU ARE WRONG
HA HA HA YAYAYA sorry....I am still bitter over the whole gold star thing Gravol will make you sleepy. When you purchase that over the counter sleep aids you are actually paying for over priced Gravol. It is the same thing. As for your pooch if you want her to sleep go to the vet and get something you know will be safe for her to take....Gravol can be tricky...my mom can take half of one and be knocked out for two days!!! Not kidding. Me I can take 12 and you would never even know. Ask your vet before you give her anything. |

I've had some good success with regular benadryl. I would talk to your vet about how much to give. I think that pets under 40 lbs get 25mg and over that get 50mg, but ask the vet first. Also, I've heard a lot of positives on the quiet moments product too and think it comes in a liquid with a dropper too if thats easier for yah. Seems like you can be more flexible with the dosage then and that it might absorb more quickly. Please let us know how it goes.
