My sisters papillion had this. She gave her karo syrup and it was overwith. Hasn't returned so I don't know about all of your tests. She spent hundreds at the vet and he couldn't even diagnose the hypoglycemia. She discovered it researching dog ailments on the internet. Maybe you could do the same?
She also went to 2 different vets about her older dog and they said he's fat, feed him less and exercise him. 3rd vet tested him and his thyroid was pretty much not functioning at all.
I'm telling you this because not all vets are created equal. If one isn't working with you to get to the bottom of something, especially as serious as this, perhaps you should find another one that's more familiar with it?
Good luck with your little one.

He has had bile acid test came in 5 pre 7 post so thats very good. Te did a complete blood profile and it showed low blood sugar. His liver function also showed good in that ruling out liver shunt. He has had seizures on 2 different occasions first time i had NO idea what was going on. Seizure lasted 5 seconds or so. The 2nd was also 5-10 seconds and this time I knew to rub Kayro on his gums he bounced right up, ran to food bowl and ate and was fine all day. I am doing the lots mini meals with nutrical if he hasnt eaten alot and sometimes before bed. His treats are baby carrots and cheerios. Both these episodes come after sleeping for 6-8 hours with eating nothing. Is peanut butter better than the nutrical? He is 11 weeks and 2.1 lbs. how much peant butter should I give him? Any other suggestions on treats and how to keep his sugar up at nite? Is it pretty common for hypo episodes to happen in the morning??
