Smile Getting my first foster pup on Saturday

I am getting my first foster pup droped off on Saturday, I guess he is a poodle terrior cross, all black with white feet and curly. He is about 3 and I will have him for a month.

I am excited yet nervous, I have never done this before and neither has Hudson, so this will be new to us all.

If anyone has any adivce for the new foster family (me, the cats and Hudson) I would greatly apprechiated it.

WooHoo!!! See, and you thought nobody wanted you . You'll probably be in such popular demand, you won't know if they're coming or going before you know it! haha

Let's see, pointers... each one is different, care for each like it's your own. So they have the best start possible with their new family, teach them what they should know at their age level in the time you have them.

Don't forget to spend one on one with with Hudson and the cats. They still need you. Their lives haven't changed, they just get more frequent visitors.

And when or if anything happens that you're not too prevy to, you know where pdg is and it's a pretty amazing support and help system!

Oh, one last thing. Try really hard not to fall too in love with each of them so you end up keeping all of them!

Best of luck and good wishes with this Foster Mom!

I'm so happy for you H.M. How exciting! Don't forget to keep the manners training up and teach him/her as many obedience things as you can. IMO it really makes a difference on adoptability and successful transition into their forever home.

I will get you all pics of the new guy when he gets here and is all settled in. I guess he is around three years old. I sure hope that he and Hudson get along and that Hudson will share his space for a bit.
