Mad, mad, mad at Dog Fancy magazine!

Boy am I mad at Dog Fancy magazine. They have an article in their current issue that hints to chondroitan supplements that have been found not to contain any chondroitan at all! For those who may not have heard of this supplement, often combo'd with glucosamine, is widely used for arthritis in dogs.

An article like this is upsetting because chondroitan is not cheap by any means.

Anyway, I just sent them this e-mail. I wonder if I'll get a response.

As a long time subscriber I want you to know I am so disgusted with Dog Fancy Magazine I could spit!

In the August 2007 issue, there is an article on page 48 entitled Chondroitin Conundrum: Are Joint Supplements Helping?

First, it scares the bejeebers out of you by hinting that the chondroitan supplements we are giving our dogs may indeed not have any chondroitan in them at all. Then, it references a report we can go look at for further details at www.consumerlab.com/results/gluco/asp

If you go to this report, the first thing you find is that this data is over four years old! Then, in order to see the report you have to pay a subscriber's fee to be able to see other, unrelated reports!

Who wants to see four year old data in this day and age? Then only to get lured to a "report" which has a subscriber fee.

Whomever H.O.R (author of article) is should be fired for this drivel! I thought your standards were much, much higher than this. I know mine are.

Much more of this and I'll be a past subscriber.

You will probably get some automated response. That's what I get when I send something to a company. I get a stupid f**cking automated response. Or I get some one who says some stupid thing that makes no sense to what you put. I hate that. I hope you get better than what I get.
