I split this off the Merrick thread, if Moo's math is right, I am SHOCKED!! I need doggie food stamps!

    Figure this for me Moo...
    Clifford 4 cups per day
    Meka 3.5 cups per day
    Dana 4 cups per day

Total 11.5 cups per day, how many punds per month??

    [Cups per day] x [0.13] = [Kilograms per day] x [30] = [Kilograms per month] x [2.204] = [Pounds per month]

That's 99 lbs of dog food consumed each month in your house, lady. LOL

Moo, there is no way that right is it????

There's my formula folks, if you see a problem, feel free to publicly tweak it.

With that formula, Dobermom goes through 99 lbs of dog food in the time it takes me (one small dog vs three large) to go through about 3.8 lbs.

Well by moos calculation I feed 60 lbs a day.

I feed about 7 cups per day between my 3 dogs.

Now a 40lb bag of food lasts me 5 weeks, so they must be gertting 20 lbs of table food

Kota gets 1 1/2 to 2 cups a day. It depends on if she's finished the previous days dinner on whether I give her the full 2 cups. She gets one in the morning one at night. And I think while my mother was here she was getting more than that. Because before a 35lb bag was lasting about 6 weeks. I think the last time I bought food was a month ago and she has at least another month before her food will be down far enough for me to take the trip to Simpsonville again.

Now, that is a lot of food in a day. LOL.

Keep in mind that not all dog foods are created equal. I picked 130 grams per cup as an average. Most commercial kibbles range from 120-150 grams per cup depending on the size of kibbles, moisture, etc.

Wow it make sense. Depending if they eat the same food or not, but I would be going through 50 lbs. of dog food a month. So that would be about right.

Luca currently eats 3 cups of food a day.

Sheena on the other hand is currently eating 8 cups. I didn't believe it till I measured out how much she eats. And that will increase when the pups are born and she is feeding them.

Before her pregnancy though she only ate 3 cups a day also.
