Heaartworm Test
Daisy has been on heartworm medication when necessary since she was a pup. I am just wondering why the Vet recommends a heartworm test at this point. It is on the regular schedule with required shots etc. Is this really necessary? It seems to me that if she has always had the meds there shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't risk not doing it if its necessary but I wonder if its just one of those things to do in the off year as no shots are necessary this year. Thanks.

I do the heartworm test every yr to make sure that they don't have it cos in winter,I give them, the heartworm medication every 6 weeks instead of every month(which the vet told me,it was fine).
