Her name is Gizmo and she is located at the Williams county Humane Society in Bryan, OH. She's a little old lady with a lot of spunk and personality. She loves to be a lap dog and soak up all the attention, however does not demand it. She's mellow and doesn't need a lot of exercise, but she loooves to go on walks. She walks fairly loose on the leash, has no obedience training, but is a polite old lady and still has manners. She does have flaky skin right now and is getting medicated baths. A quality food might help this. (Right now she's on a really bad food.) She is not food aggressive. She's good with other dogs and good with cats(ignores them really)
I believe the only thing holding this girl back from a terrific home is her age. She'd make a great companion for an older couple, or an older single lady.
Gizmo was adopted out a few weeks ago, but was again returned for only reason: health cost. She's really actually quite active and healthy(loves to go on walks, and will sometimes be vocal and bark happily), though now she is on medication for her ears and eyes, and she still has a problem with flaky skin.
She's a wonderful dog. She'd make a GREAT pet for an older couple/lady. She has good kennel manners, though living in a kennel she has forgotten some of her potty training. New owners might want to invest in potty pants and re crate/house train her.
She has been here since March. I fell in love with her straight away. And now, because of her age and that even a person that took a chance on her couldn't keep her any longer(the vet was extremely expensive and is known for prolonging treatment on dogs to make more money), the humane society is thinking about putting her down. I was told this today by the new humane officer and I told her to wait on that decision and I will do my absolute best to find her a home or rescue.
She's too great a dog to let that happen. If anyone can help, not only I... but this dog would so grateful.
