Merle Baby Has Been Adopted!!!!!!!

My Merle baby has been adopted!!!!!! I started crying so bad and he hasn't even left with them! He's going to live with a young couple on a houseboat on a lake in Seattle! They checked out him and a girl about the same age at another foster home, went to lunch, came back and said he was the one! I'm so happy for his future and I already miss him so.....
This is going to be a tough week for me. Not so much for him I'm sure as I will be spending an aweful lot of time with him.
For those who don't know or don't remember:
Merle is my first foster since joining up with this rescue. He came to me on Feb 13th and has been here since. He's now 9 months old and has been growing up here. He's tugged at my heart stings since day one,so he's been very sepcial to me. They've also offered to send me updates and photos from time to time if I wanted.. Yes,!! I said. No one else has sent me any updates on my fosters that have been adopted so far.
Gotta go do some hugging and crying now.. Please wish this special guy the best of everything in his future. I will probably also need alot of emotional support from my PDG friends next Saturday!

YIPPIE MERLE!!! Good going Teresa, I'm sure you will miss him but what a wonderful feeling he is at his forever home. I hope everything goes well for him. Good thing he likes water!

I think the water thing was one of his strong points with them as they live on the water, literally! Not to mention, he was a star and schmoozing them for the entire visit! They even took him on a long walk and came back thrilled with his leash training.

This is kinda weird but: I had a weird deja vue too. Someone had asked for the dogs crate so they had their smell etc in it and they would pay for it, I said sure, you can have it for replacement cost no problem.
When they came back to tell us they wanted him.. they asked if they could buy his crate so his scent was in it... That's when I started crying in front of them..

YAY!!! I know it's tough, but you have done a great job with Merle. Talk to him, like Traci always says to do. It helps.

I knew it would be tough.. had no idea I'd turn into a blubbering mess over it. I'm not really a very emotional woman.
What one special pup can do to a person! Geez.... I can't quit hugging and talking to him....... I'm so excited and dreading next Saturday. I'll probably fall apart like a cry baby..... . Wow, I do have a sappy side! Who would have thought it would take a brindle pit mix puppy to bring it out after all these years! <trying to smile here>

although i'm happy for him, i bet it's going to be really tough for you. make sure they know to call you, that you'll take him back in a second if it's not working out with them.
