Bottle Feeding
As some of you know I experienced some bad luck with a litter delivered by c-section on Friday. I lost 4 out of five pups due to the vet getting happy with the knock out juice. End result depressed puppies that can't suck properly and a despondent momma.
I have one remaining pup, Gracie left. I have started syringe feeding her at the rate of 1cc x 5 or 6 syringes at each feeding. I am TIRED. I spent the last few days trying in vain to save them all so after 5 days of emotional upheaval I am ready for a good nap. Can someone please give me a good idea of what to expect in terms of how long is every two hours gonna last and what is the normal intake of milk for a lrg breed pup that is only five days old and counting. Is there any good advice out there on this matter? I have never had to bottle feed before.
