agility show

Okay, I hope someone has a little advice for me. Quincy and Kiera Marie will be doing an agility show this weekend. No compitition, just some sort of demo. Their class instructor wants me to go. If all goes well (fingers crossed!) we will be competing in two weeks! Okay, so has anyone ever gotten nervous and done something like forget the course? I'm not so much worried about the babies doing well as I am me!

just do a nice long walkthrough of the course before hand so you can mentally picture everything. I'm sure you'll be alright. Just remember to have fun

Leave the dogs at first, and run around yourself. Imagine them by your side and run, spin, focus...

Good luck!

No doubt. My guy has so much skill, speed, fearlessness, but oh, the distraction. "No, Mum! Do I HAVE to do that? There's a cocker spaniel who wants to play with me over there!!!", "Gosh, are you SURE I'm supposed to go to the table? The teeter looks so much more inviting!"

But heck, he's become so good at reading me, I know it's almost always my problem when something goes wrong.

Quincy's just stubborn. He's fast and loves Agility, and fearless, but a mind all of his own.
He's saying, "Mom, I think I'll take that jump instead and meet you on the other end of the ring!"
I don't think so, Quincy.
Remember who holds the treats.

Sounds like Mr. Digital needs to go along so we can see some pictures. Don't worry - your dogs will still love you even if you mess up big time LOL.

No worries..I'm sure you'll do great.

Yes, my husband's going with me, he'll be bringing the camera. He just got a new lense for Christmas, so he should be able to get some good ones. I was thinking of maybe finding somewhere where Quincy could do donuts and a mirror so Kiera Marie could get out that German Shepherd dog aggression before we hit the ring.
(KIera doesn't like other GSDs on leash)
