Vomiting

Hi all,

My 3 year old min poodle Coco has been sick. I first noticed it about 9 days ago when my Mum told me Coco had just been sick. He was in the garden at the time and his vomit consisted of a LOT of grass and what looked like white froth. I kept a eye on him and he was fine. Running around like usual, very healthy appetite etc. But I noticed it again 3 days ago, yesterday and today. It's always white froth with grass and usually in the same place in the garden. It looks like he goes out for toilet, eats some grass and vomits up froth.

Strange thing is he doesn't look ill. He's very active and very playful and this is only happening once a day. I'm wondering if it could be the hot weather we're having at the moment or possibly even some dry food I'm trying him on? I'm guessing the food because the time frame seems to fit - I know I started him on it a little over a week ago.

Is vomiting up froth anything to be worried about? Thank you.

I would not worry about it UNLESS he is not drinking, eating, or has runny poops...you get the pic.

Hudson throws up once a day, it is always in the exact same spot in the yard and it is always grass and frothy bial....

Then he comes in, I have to wipe the "shoe laces" off his mouth and he gets his teeth brushed.

I wouldnt worry too much, unless like I said he starts having other symptoms.

Some dogs also vomit because they are very sensitive to timing of their feedings. Some will vomit at night because they were fed too early, some in the morning cause they haven't been fed yet.

Any correlation with your dogs vomiting?

Did you start him on the new food gradually by mixing a little more in each day and decreasing the old? Some dogs are VERY sensitive to having their food changed and it needs to be soooooooo slowly.

Thanks for all your replies. Im so sorry about your dog Squirt. I put Coco back on his old food and he hasn't been sick. I think it was the food, perhaps it was too rich for him tummy. I know some dogs can have very icky tummies. Poor things. Coco is fine in every other way so it must of been the food. Guess Im being a worry wart lol. Thank you all again.
