Here comes Waylon- Merle's brother

Yep, that's right. I now have Merle's brother Waylon with us. He was adopted and with 3 adults and 4 kids still managed to rough house to much with the kids and chew up inappropriate things. He's about 10 months old now!! So they returned him. So much for the adult sister living in the home that claimed she was a good dog trainer.
Enough of that.. Let me tell you about this kid. He may not have been the biggest head turner of the bunch but what he lacks in glamour looks, he more than makes up for in personality! He's a fun, sweet pup with an awesome disposition. He loves to play in water, play fetch, tug-o-war with Lancey (his favorite work out)! He's doing just great on leash walking too! He gets along with everyone but likes to chase my cat too much. He's a lean lanky sweetheart!

Three so called adults and 4 kids can't contain a dog? I have to say that I am glad that Waylon is back with you.

He isn't even getting into anything here at all! He's being a doll and he's not shy so it's just him. I really think he was too active for their lazy selves!
And thanks fairlight... I hope we can get him trained up into an awesome dog to help in a great placement next time!

For Christ's sake,he's a puppy!.
Titus destroyed his last pair of shoes, the day before he turned 2.
What do people expect?.
By the way,he's cute!.
Maybe you could adopt him to a person who does agility or flyball.
I will truly never understand people!.
A 10 mths old pup, needs exercise so why can't people realize that?.
Teresa,
thanks for taking him, back and giving him another chance.Yr best bet is to train him which I'm sure you are already working on it and find a family that has experience in dogs and know what it takes to train a dog and is willing to deal with the puppy period. Is he a pittbull mix?.

Oh goodness. I think Waylon is GORGEOUS! I love his giant ears.

So, what dogs do you have in your house now besides your own?

Maybe you could adopt him to a person who does agility or flyball. No kidding! He's active, long legged and loves to play anyway!
I will truly never understand people!. Me either! It's people like you on this forum that keep me reassured that there are others out there like us just waiting for these wonderful fosters!

Absolutely working on training and he's doing awesome! And yes, there is probably pittie in the mix as my foster, his brother Merle who just left Saturday (after 6 months!) displayed. Waylon on the other hand absolutely loves everything and everybody human and canine. Merle was a little protective and had to warm up to new doggie friends sometimes. Not this one!

Waylon, Lancey and I still have Sammie. I don't think Lancey and Waylon will be around long. Sammie's already been here a while. Seems no one wants a 6 year old that doesn't get along with cats and is particular who her doggie friends are. She's wonderful, mannered and fairly well trained with her humans though and in good health and active at 6.
We have a major adoption event this coming Saturday that I'm going to post info on in a sec. We're hoping our pups can catch alot of interest so we can really have a good opportunity to place them in great homes!
