4 County Community Partnership Adoption Event

This Saturday, Aug 18th we're participating in a 4 County Adoption Event with local rescues and shelters in Olympia, WA at the Armory from 11 - 3. This date also happens to be National Homeless Animal Day!
I was told I could share the brochure I created for our rescue that we'll bring to the event and use afterward too.
I am also attaching a couple of flyers about the event. One is just about the event, the other is about the microchip service that will be there at a great price!
Can't attach them, each of the files are too big, boo.
If any of you can make it, please come down! I would love to meet you! If you can't but you're in the area, please feel free to share the flyers and spread the word! Our goal is to home every animal (cats & dogs) brought to the event this year!
The shelters will let the animals go then, the rescues will follow their standard protocol. We are going to try to do any home inspections in the area for ours while we're up there and references that day if we can to cover as much ground as possible!
I'm excited and hope it's a huge success!!

LOL but of course! I've always got the camera and extra batteries on hand when I go anywhere especially when it's all about the dogs & cats out there!

Tomorrow's Line Up is....

Here's the pups and a couple of kitties we are bringing to the event tomorrow.
Waylon, 10 mo old, black lab/pit/???? mix fun loving sweet dog that loves everything and everybody!
Lancey's the 2 yr old, female, green eyed, red head that just wants to play all the time!
MoeJoe a 3 yr old lab pit ? big galoot boy. He's is really big now and is so super sweet with everything and everyone!
Yukison is a 2 yr old American Eskimo. A little shy for about the first 2 minutes and then he's a happy little guy!
Misty is the tiniest Min-Pin I've ever met at about 4 pounds! She's a diva and princess but is also very very sweet.
The 2 kitties are BooBoo & Sky Boy. One was taken from a drug house and is doing awesome so he's ready for a home of his own. The other just loves life and everything around him. Neither are skittish and they are great with all other dogs & cats.
Hoping tomorrow is a great day for all of our fur-kids as well as all the others there looking for homes! Anyone in the area, by all means, please stop by!

Good news! We worked our tails off and 4 of the 5 dogs are adopted and wow.. what homes and lives they've got ahead of them!! Not sure we could have gone out and hand picked our wish list for these 4 any better!
We were able to review apps, do reference checks and home inspections during and after the event! I can't believe how much the 2 of us were able to accomplish today!
MoeJoe is in a great home with a woman and her awesome 15 year old diabetic cat who loved him! She lost her last dog the end of last year. She's in a wonderful dog friendly community (by the looks of all the leashed dogs out walking their owners on the way to the house), has a huge 6 ft wooden fenced back yard and beautiful patio. Inside is a wonderful living room for him to curl up by the fire or at her feet.
Lancey is now living on a lake house on 5 acres with a retired teacher. She will also be accompanying her new papa to Montana to fly fish there. I think she'll be a very happy girl with him.
Misty (sorry Sandvand, you know I would have saved the little diva for you if I could have ) is now in the very capable hands of some snowbirds. They've been married 52 years and don't look any older than that! Been in a gorgeous 2 acres for 43 years and have a home in AZ during the winter. They lost their last dog of old age 4 months ago and were going to wait a year or so but they just couldn't anymore. They needed a little one to dote and fuss over. Misty certainly will fill that bill for them!
Yukison was also adopted. His adoption had been preapproved and his foster was thrilled with his family. I don't have details. All that was left today was to meet each other and it was love at first sight from where I was sitting!
So, sweet, goofy Waylon returned home with me as the only pup to return. It's ok, he's a great kid! Both kitties also returned. The cat rescue loved both of them. It's kitten season right now and adults don't have much of a chance completing with babies...
It was a ton of work and we feel awesome about the results! It was a great success to home the 4 we did with such great matches!
Will post pix later. Exhausted now and only got a few. It was sooo busy!
