What's the puppy shot routine where you are?

I was just wondering what the puppy shot routine is where you are? Where I live (in the UK for those of you who don't know me well enough yet!) we get one shot (which covers a load of stuff) at 8 weeks, another booster at 10 weeks and then the puppies are allowed to walk outside the boundaries of the home a week after the last shot. What is becoming more common is that some breeders will vaccinate against parvo only at 6 weeks.

IF you want to get a PETS passport you can have a rabies vaccination done when the puppy is at least 3 months old but this is only required for the passport.

So what's the routine where you are?

Honestly I know they get 3 or 4 shots as puppies, and a booster at 6 months and another at 1 year. But I haven't a clue which ones is which.

The puppy shot is broken up in giving because no one can tell for sure when the pups immune system from the other has worn off, and it varies pup to pup in the same litter. One pup the immune system may wear off at 5 weeks another 7 weeks etc. This is the reason for multiple shots.. If you give a shot but mothers immune system is still working, the shot does nothing. .. Hince the reason for multiple shots.
