OMG! YAY! He did it!
He did it! He did it!
Remember the story about Laila and how Jake caught her on the freeway and there were two other dogs that day? Well, lol, he caught the first pup! He called me at 2am and told me he was looking for the pup. Then tells me he's got to go. Calls me back a little later and sure enough, the pup was caught. And, the best part, he's got a home lined up already. The pup is about 8 weeks, female and definately a street dog. Lab mix of some sort, all black with a little white spot on her chest. He said she is extremely hand shy and he had to corner her to catch her. He caught her on Tiffany street, so he is calling her Tiffany. He didn't have any dog food in the truck (I need to set him up a catch kit since he doesn't have the time to do it right now) he gave her a little of his ham sandwhich and some water. He said she went insane for it. Poor baby was digging through a trash can when he found her. The home he has lined up for her is another trucker he works with. The family had a black lab that recently passed at 16 years old! They were just talking about looking into another dog and since Tiffany is still a baby and they can work with her on her fears, he's going to give it a shot! So, he's 2 for 3. Unfortunately, the chances of him catching the other dog are slim to none. But thank goodness he caught the two he did! Laila is home and safe with her mommy again and Tiffany gets to begin a new, better life!

thats so exciting...i dont remember the original story...i dunno if i was around yet...but still AWWWWW...harrison and i are both suckers for strays... before we moved into the house we live in now we went by on new years day to make a list of stuff we needed...anyway we pulled up and heard a dog yowling...we knew right away it was a beagle...anyway around 2 1/2 hours, lots of sticker bushes mud and fumbling around in a field of overgrownness on the property next to our house, and a can of stinky wet dog food later...we got our hands on him...he is one of our across the street neighbors beagles...his name get this harris...lol...he apparently is a butt and ignores the shock he gets when he crosses the invisible fence...we took him home and went about our business and when we came out there was a bottle of wine on my car...how nice...they also have another beagle named beeper who stays put at home lol...

Wow. What a great hubby-in the right place and the right time. So glad he caught that little girl. And those people will be so happy! What a coincidence!

Don't take this the wrong way, Roxy, but we are all in love with Jake. Give him a big hug from us!
