WV Special needs cats

This was posted in another group. I hope someone can help this babies.

I am a receptionist at a veterinary hospital in Huntington, WV and we
are currently boarding two 'special needs' cats that are in need of
homes. I'm attempting to contact rescues and shelters that specifically
mention having 'special needs' animals to see if there's anyone that
can
help us adopt them out.

The first cat, Princess, is a 5 year old spayed female dilute calico
who
is diabetic. Her elderly owner passed away a few weeks ago and the
owner's nephew (who currently has 'custody' of her) can't keep her. She
is currently on Glipizide (a pill) for the diabetes, but she really
should be on insulin, as the Glipizide isn't controlling her blood
glucose levels as well as we would like.

The second cat, Nicky, is a year/year and half old neutered male, black
and white, who has tested positive for FIV. He was found by a client of
ours who already has cats and she doesn't feel comfortable bringing an
FIV-positive cat into her house.

If there is anything your organization can do to help these two sweet
cats find homes, we would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for your time,

Jessie Maynard

I dont think that would help with my dad. We are already having financial issues and our current cat and rest of the family(humans and animals alike) i dont think would enjoy another one...lol I would love one an did pay for it but nows just not the right time for our family...
