Rottie Needs Help!

I received an email today looking for help with entropic eye lid surgery and a foster home for a 4-5 year old rottie that's been ab-used as a "puppy factory". I'm going to research this eye condition but meanwhile, if any of you can enlighten me about it, please do.
If anyone can offer foster or point me in the direction of anyone who might be able to help her I would appreciate it! I think you all know badly I want to take her in and care for her but I cannot squeeze one more in right now .
Her name is Katie, she's in eastern WA & here's her photos. Thanks!

Poor dog!.This should have been taken care of when she was a puppy. It's a very painful condition cos the eye lid rubs against the eye and can cause cornea damage.the operation is pretty easy and takes away the pain.hope someone can help. She is a very pretty girl.

Thanks GH! Do you know off hand if, at her age, she could be blinded by this?

Update info: She loves all dogs and people but not kitties & she's 110 lbs.

I would have a vet check her eyes.i do not know if she can be blind from it as i've never had a dog with this condition but on the picture, she has an eye that seems to be half close.Only a vet could tell you!.Even if she is,she would still need the operation to take the painful condition away!.

poor baby...i dont understand how someone could allow a dog to go through that...as g&h said its when the eyelashes are inverted and rub against the eye...i know its very easily fixable but i dont know the long term affects of it...jeeze can you imagine living 4-5 years with your eyelashes constantly rubbing on your eyes? ouchies...

I've read up on the condition as well. It can impair but I haven't seen where it will necessarily blind them.
Anyway, I was able to raise some of the $$ needed for her surgery today and I hope she can get it and continue sending the vet contributions towards it so she doesn't have to suffer one more minute than necessary!

If anyone wants to help with that part also, please pm me for details.

My one hopeful home would have been a done deal except for Katies dislike of cats. They have one and it's their only pet at the moment. She is wonderful and would have fostered her back to health as well - so sad...
There's someone out there, of that, I'm positive!

Well, the couple who met one of my fosters but didn't connect with him want to meet her! If they connect with her, she'll will have the best life and be taken very well care of for the rest of her life! They traditionally have had rotties and I think they miss having one around. I'm really crossing my fingers for a match on this one.
She gets her surgery on Monday and hopefully I can get a meet set up by next weekend! I hope, I hope, I hope...

Oh I'm so happy she is getting the surgery. We rescued a shar-pei with the same problem, he was so happy to not be in pain anymore. Poor baby!

How long was the recovery? I emailed and asked but haven't got a reply back yet... hopefully the surgery is the start of really great things ahead for this girl! Well I guess that all began with removing her from her terrible situation!
