Another Kitty

My sister and I found a stray black and white kitty. I don't know what we are going to do with this kitty, but I'm contacting low cost spay and neuter tomorow to at the very least get him neutered. He's been sleeping on their porch. He's about 6 months to a year, sweet as can be. I took pics, but can't upload them to this stupid laptop.

Man, when I said I wanted a cat, I didn't bargain for this!

Well, my vet is AMAZING! I've never known someone so awesome and willing to help out the way she does. I went in to get the girls heartworm pills today and told her about the kitty. She said to bring him in and she'll neuter him and board him for little to nothing. So, I am going to try and find a home for him, but if not, then I guess he's coming with us. We may not even keep him, but he NEEDED to get off the streets, even if that meant finding a foster home. He was covered in fleas from head to toe. I had a million bites on me now, I swear. Thankfully, he is feline leukemia negative and heartworm negative.

There are a lot of good vets out there that are willing to help out when they can. I know my mom's vet give's her a break on her one stray cat and the vet that she got her other kitty from donated a ton of medical treatment towards the kitty. It's great to find a vet that truly cares about the animals and not just the profits.

Well, Kitty may be coming home tomorow and staying in the garage instead of at the vets. I haven't decided yet what is best for him. I really can't wait till this little guy gets a name. My sis was calling him Yuri.

Oh, and on a side note, I called Allie's mom AGAIN today and still no reply. I really wanted to help her out, but she hasn't called me back. I'm still trying to figure out how to get Allie a home, too. But if she can't have me bringing my dogs to meet her, then I can't say yes or no. We may not even keep the kitten, but Allie was going to be permanent for sure. Now, I can't even get a hold of her. I feel bad for Allie. She's the one who's stuck in the middle.

Well, kitty is now at my house in the garage. It's not ideal, but this way I can go out at any time to play with and love on him rather than a half hour drive to and from the vets each day to see him for an hour. Digs and I went kitty shopping and bought food and litter and a few toys. She bought him a welcome to your new home (hopefully) toy and I think once he gets settled in he'll love it.

He doesn't have a name just yet. I haven't been able to think of anything other than George and I don't think that fits him at all. I have to ask Jake, he's usually good at naming animals. He named James and Trevor and those names were perfect for the rittens.
