I have a rottweiler who is nine years old and has all of a sudden stopped eating. It has been two days and last night i tried to even make him some ground beef and she only ate a little bit. She has never had a problem of not eating so I fear that something might be wrong. Do you think she is sick? If anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate the input. Thanks,
brett

I would also say to call the vet. My dog goes through phases of not eating. I know its only because he is picky & wanting to see what he can get off of us. If you cooked up ground beef and she/he wouldn't eat it I would say something is wrong. Any dog would eat ground beef. If your dog has never done this before I would call the vet. Good Luck!!!

thanks. We tried feeding her ground beef yesterday and she only ate about a hand full. She usaully loves her hard food and we never give her people food so when she wouldn't eat much ground beef then something is pretty weird. She is drinking a little bit of water though not as much as usual. We tried looking at her stomach and but when we tried to touch it she started to wimper. My poor dog.

I hope you've gone to the Vet already. I suggest to everyone reading if something is wrong - to pick up their phone first and call either their own vet or the nearest emergency vet centre.

Most of them will help you out over the phone and they are certainly more knowledge than us chat room buddies. PS please share what happens as it can help all of us in the future.

Right when we were going to bring her into the vet she started to get better. And now she is back to her same old self!!!! My mother had given her some antibiotics which I think helped her get over whatever she had.) But she is now spoiled everyday with soft dog food. Thanks for everyones help. Take care and peace.
