Burnt Toungue...

Before supposidly leaving for work(im now home because i have make sure Oscar doesnt throw up meaning he has poisoning) I was just doing some quick cleaning because i had some people over (ya im a neat freak leave me alone) and Oscar LICKED pine-sol like the curious little ****** he is and ended up burning his toungue. I see blood just dripping through his mouth, but not sign of pain. I open his mouth, and WHAM, im looking straight into a mouth of blood. I called the vet and he said the chemicals burned his tounge (doesnt take a genious to know that) but he said if he throws up, its poising and he should be taken in immediatly. He wasnt my regular vet, just some random 24 hour one that i dont even know. He said if hes in pain, go to my vet and get some pain killers but i just gave him a tylenol. God its getting so annoying...hes liking his lips like 20 times a second. But hey, i didnt feel like going to work anyway, so tired...

I'm sorry to hear about Oscar, did the vet advise him to drink anything to help him? I would call another vet to get a second opinion, it can't be nice having a bleeding tongue.

Hope he gets better soon, hugs and kisses from me and Poppy...

Hoping Oscar is feeling better. What a silly puppy. Hope all turns out well.

P.S. You are a neat freak, and own a Lab? Please don't tell me that is possible. It will ruin my day

Exile, there is a website with specific info on poisonings. It can be found in this Health thread. They have great info that I hope helps.

Sorry for your little guy... Give him hugs. Definately check the MSDS information on the bottle & check if they have a website.

No, no, no, no..... Well, you all don't have three of them to pick up after. LOL. You should see what happens when I decide to pick up their toys. They are just like kids. "I was playing with that" as they take it back out of the basket. As well as the other one that I just put away. In fact this morning I was giggling to myself. There were 11 bones laying on my family room floor. I have 3 dogs. It just doesn't make any sense. Ugh, I give up.

Some people say I am a neat freak, but I just think I have messy friends. Now, my mother's house is spotless. So, I guess I compare mine to that. My one friend has three kids, not including her husband, two dogs, two cats and a hamster in a 2 bedroom house. I have no idea where one room ends and the next one starts. She tells me I am a neat freak. Compared to that I guess I am. But not by my mommy's standards

LOL growing up as an italian, clean was the only way to go. As a matter of fact, my family lived in the basement about 80 percent of the time because my mother didnt want the "good stuff" to get damaged. Meanwhile the furniture is ancient. Out with the old and in with the new
