Night blindness..

Jasmine seems to be confused at night. I know her eyes had a prelim test on her eyes, and I am looking for a cert clinic at a show, but I was wondering..
Other than maybe PRA ( but shouldnt that have shown up in the prelim at a year old?) or a colaboma ( hole in the retina) - what else could be causing this? I am not totally convinced its her eyes or behavior. Does anyone have any suggestions?
This is what is happening. Our great room is basically a full wall of glass. Two huge sliding doors, plus over head glass. I know that where she lived before in foster, they closed their blinds at night. It could be that she doesnt understand reflections if the lights are on in the house, but dark outside. I know that mirrors confuse her, but we worked that out. My mother suggested post it notes on the glass to give her the image of space. That seems to help, but I noticed she still seems slightly confused at night- like on stairs unless the night lights are plugged in. She has been here now two weeks- I know she knows the house.. I wish I could get her to Baltimore to get her eyes checked but right now looking for a show clinic. I looked on the info dog but they do not always post it when the clinics are.
My gut tells me its not " confusion of reflection"..

Levi is nightblind too, or just scared of the dark. He will sit so still and not move and if he does he runs into things and stuff like that. Hey if you come to baltimore maybe you could swing over here and I could meet your cute little pup...

I would love to. I am trying to find a eye clinic in the Virgina. I keep searching info dog to try to find premium lists to see if there is one. Usually there are. But normally its limited how many dogs they can take.
/edit- Looking to see if Va. Tech does eye cerfs.. no word yet../

PRA can be DNA tested for. Sorry she has trouble in the dark!

Mine are great in the dark they can even play Frisbee in total darkness.

I couldnt find a clinic. We are going to Blacksburg at Tech on the 31st. Its a 3 hour drive there and back. I hope its behavioral. I can deal with that.. But I have to rule out physical.

Miko has PRA and has very little vision left (I think he still sees shadows). However, this started out with difficulties seeing at night about two years ago. He wouldn't go up or downstairs at night until I turned the light on.

I'm certainly not suggesting this is what your dog has, but PRA typically starts this way.

Thats my concern too.. We have our appointment. I know the prelim came out fine but if degenerative we need to know. The earliest we could get was Oct 31 but worth the 3 hours down there, and 3 hours back..
