faye

when we found fay she had a golf ball sized tumor on her belly...it was a mammary tumor and we had it removed when she was spayed but she still developed lung cancer...over the last few months the tumor has come back...not as big but still its there...we had spoken to the vet before and decided that unless it was bothersome to her we would just leave it alone instead of putting her through surgery...well saturday night i was holding her and messing with it just to see if it was causing her any discomfort and it dosent seem to be but it was discharging through one of her nipples not a lot but enough...she has a vet appointment on this coming saturday as the vet said it isnt anything to panic over...she will get an exam and some x-rays and we will decide if we want to do surgery...

i try to not think of her as sick as she acts normal but stuff like this makes me worry that we are approaching the time when she wont be so ok...it makes me so angry because if she had been spayed at a young age this most likely would have been prevented its heart wrenching...

In Faye's eyes and mind she is not sick. It's the people around her that may make her think "Is something wrong?" Just keep doing what you're doing Atomic. We all have to make the choice what would be best for our dogs. How old is Faye?

we have had her just over 2 years our best guess is 5-8...for the most part we treat her like everything is normal and great and thats how she acts...it just gets hard some days
