Uma's bleeding

When I got up yesterday there was a tiny spot on my sofa. It was wet and I put my hand in it...it was pink and brown....I thought it was some anal leakage but I still stuck my finger in it and smelled it....yep it smelled like poop. She was washing her vaginal area most of the day yesterday. Toby there was another spot (very small) but she is still licking that area like crazy. I went outside with her and her urine looked fine and her poop was normal...no signs of blood. A few minutes ago I pushed a paper towel next to her vaginal area and there was a tiny mark of blood no bigger than the head of a pin. I was supposed to take the car in tomorrow and have it fixed...looks like I am off to the vet instead.

Do you think it's an infection? Is she fixed?

Oh yes Dax. We had her spayed at the end of June. Where could an infection come from? She hasn't been around any other dogs if that's what you mean. I thought maybe it could have been a shard of rawhide bone that she always eats....we even discussed thinking maybe she sat in fire ants, but there was not a single drop of blood in her poop.

I was thinking urinary infection.

Ariel had a mild infection not that long ago. That area was producing a snot like substance. Best to have her checked.

It's not gooey Dax..it looks just like a spot of poop. Maybe she sat in something sharp???? But what I don't know? Yep....my vet opens at 7am. I will be on the phone at 7:01.

If the a part of the ovary was left over when she was spayed, she can still go into "partial heats." Had she not been spayed, would she be due around now?
