Honeybee Eye Growth Mystery

You can see what appeared suddenly overnight on Honeybee's eye this morning. It looks like what would happen with an ingrown hair. Honeybee gets into anything in her walks at night in the park so it could have been hit or poked but it doesn't look like that to me.

Do you think I should see the vet with her? I hate to be hasty to overreact, but just concerned and wonder what your thoughts are.

Click on pic to see bigger.

It looks like it might be a wart or even an ingrown hair. I wouldnt worry too much about it either way it would go away on its own.

I saw bees today at the park, maybe even a bee sting?

Hope it's not too serious. Such a twist of fate if Honeybee would get stung by a bee.

I will keep a close eye on and if it looks worse will take her to the vet. Otherwise, I agree BratBoxers, it looks like what most farm dogs would get plenty of outdoors as a mostly outdoor dog.

I sure appreciate having knowledgeable friends here to bounce things like this off of.

Ken, I think the key is growth. If it gets bigger in 24 hours then it needs attention. If it starts to shrink in 24 hours, then it is likely a slight wound.

to me it just looks like a strand of hair on the eye...as much as my hair falls out my girls get it on occasion and if it seems to be bothering them i just gently wipe it out otherwise it works out on its own
