Kirby Update
While I was away this morning, my mom took Kirby to the vet.
She doesn't know exactly what it was... abcessed something... must have been pretty bad, as they took him into surgery right away. He's home now, but my poor boy can't move for at least a week. He's got stitches on his butt that he can't disturb. He hasn't moved since I got home, just been lying on the kitchen floor. Now I don't know what to do with Dukie... Oh gosh, I feel terrible.

Aww, poor Kirby. I'm glad that he got it taken care of though. And poor Moo and Duke with no Kirby playmate. Good luck on keeping him still for a week. Give lots of pets and kisses!

It was a ruptured absessed **** gland. So basically... his **** gland exploded.
Thanks for the thoughts HeartSong. Duke goes home tomorrow, lots of time for Kirby then.

Thanks guys. I'm getting the story in pieces here. Apparently he's had it for a while... around a week's time. And I've been too preoccupied to even notice anything was up. And here I was when I leaving it to wait even longer. God, what's wrong with me? My poor baby.

Hugs to you both.. You're not a bad mommy for missing it.. If he wasn't doing much to let you know, why on earth would you inspect his **** glands?
He will be ok. Tomorrow, the little one leaves and then Kirby will have you all to himself again!!!

Poor little Kirby , you can give him a hug for me , but no butt kisses , lol . I hope he feels better soon .
