Brad has the intensity of a young, intelligent, recently-neutered male dog. From what we can tell, he's been loved in his past home, but not necessarily well cared for (he came in loaded with fleas!). We think he's been exposed to many dogs as he seems fine with all of the ones we've introduced him to, even those that are off leash in a dog park.
We're accepting applicants for him, but request responsible applicants only. This is our chance to find him the best home we can for the rest of his life.

Andy gets to go for sleepovers with a staff member. He is developing lovely dog manners - Andy knows some basic commands already and is almost totally housebroken too! Our super cutie boy is very charming and over all, he's just a really nice, well rounded puppy.
We are hoping to find a suitable home for Andy very quickly because Andy loves to spend time with us and the volunteers, but not be in the kennels. He will make a lovely companion for someone with the time for a young pup, and who has large breed experience.

Sophie is a very smart and energetic dog. If you meet her you will love her. She has lots of life and love left to give. Older dogs can be such an pleasure to be around. Sophie is 8 yrs old, spayed and weighs 68 Lbs. Sophie is overweight but with regular exercise she will begin to thin out. Unlike most Vizsla's her tail was left in-tact. Her remaining eye is sensitive to infection and may require regular drops to keep it from flaring-up. If she remains on the prescribed diet her gastro-intestinal issues should remain under control according to the vet. As you can see the vet did a wonderful job removing the eye and closing it up. We were told by the vet that Sophie does resource guard. With this, it is best she go to a home without YOUNG children until these issues are dealt with. She pulls on-leash which is understandable as exercise has not been available to her. A little bit of training will help make this dog a perfect companion.

Caleb is a 4 yr old, neutered GSP (German Shorthaired Pointer). Poor Caleb is loosing his home as his family no longer has time for him. Caleb will need training from the ground up. He will need a home where his people are around part of the day and can work on training him. Caleb appears to be uncomfortable around children at times and would be better suited to a family without kids. GSPs also need PLENTY of exercise to keep them healthy and physically stimulated. Breed knowledge is a must for Caleb. If you can help us by fostering Caleb and have experience with the GSP breed please email crossourpaws@yahoo.ca for a foster application.
