new to the boards, opinion on what this breed is?

hello, I just got Pokey saturday, they said he was a shih tzu, but I'm not quite sure, he's not as "puffy" as the others I have seen, what's your opinion..

Could be shih tzu/cocker cross. The fluffy might still be coming. My sister's shih/x's hair just keeps growing.

Welcome to the forum and keep those cute pictures coming. We's luvs puppies.

The markings aren't really shih-tzu like, but as for fur, you can't really tell at this age.

Where did you get him from?

Welcome to the forum...the breed, well definately not a pure Shitzu, the nose is too pointed..could be crossed with a Maltese or similar small breed.
The face of a Shitzu is pushed in...pug faced, they normally snort a lot too.

Also as stated, there is not enough color marking for a pure.

If you get a picture of puppy standing, we may get a better idea. Posture says alot.

Ellie is right, that doesn't look like a brachycephalic nose...
